Weekend focus on real work, real reading and many Sunday hours at the laptop adjusting to the attention seeking behaviour of 2.0 tools: living dangerously in Amsterdam
- ignored twitter and delicious
- left comments in fbooks here and there and home and CSU
- downsized to piknik and uploaded to flickr home and CSU
- loaded flickr icons for private family group and myself
- spent not too long in sl visiting Amsterdam and Jokaydia:
- did disappointingly basic sl tutorial supplied with program
- failed to change clothes in sl – must visit slurls supplied to change more than the colours
- managed to collect a free magazine from an Amsterdam newsstand, skirted around night deserted canals, survived an assault and keep walking
- teleported home to relax with giant rabbits, on beanbags and garden swings
- failed to create an object
were the rabbits created inworld or animated and imported?
So, the 2.0 ‘to do’ list:
- Secure sign-off for assignment and submit draft proposal
- Continue adding and organising feeds
- Trial feeds into twitter
- Trial group set-up in twitter with link supplied by Lyn Hay
- Trial survey monkey for environmental scan (staff opinion) after Easter
- Trial screen dumps to slides for assignment appendices and environmental scan (resources currently available)
- Trial slideshare/jing for assignment appendices and environmental scan (distributed staff workplaces)
- Revisit slAmsterdam and check if Museumplein, Rembrandtshuis etc exist
