i love the NLA "ourtown" initiative on flickr and am quite inspired to add some of my own photos to the wonderful depictions of Australian towns and landscapes. so much changes so quickly in the built landscape and so much to enjoy in the fleeting seasonal landscapes captured ... autumn in Wentworth Falls in the Blue Mountains seems to have been a wonderfully coloured source of inspiration ... noticed a stunning photo of scarlet and red and green of a Wentworth Falls picnic spot that had accumulated many merit stickers ... but now I cannot find it ...
this is a lesson in the difficulty of inconsistent tagging and the essentially browse only nature of the flickr format ... once lost, that fabulous photo may be lost forever amongst millions ... all the same it is an amazing adventure into other people's aesthetic and viewpoint ...
Hi, Help needed: have added this photo from flickr by saving to my computer and then 'browse' and download rather than working it in straight from the internet link (when you get all surrounding information off the page) ?? The empty box gives the full web page link and nice details, but looks a little lonely on the blog!
